Travelling with Me

A giraffe on the savanna

I started these blogs a long time ago when I was just travelling with my family. Several years later, I retired from software development and became a travel agent. This was so I could have the fun of planning trips for people while being paid for it. I know a lot of people figure they can just as easily book themselves online, but when you book with me, I can help you with all those little questions and concerns you might have.

What I Do

I help you plan, and I make bookings for you. Advice, recommendations, itineraries, advisories, I do it all. Please don't ask me for advice and then book on your own. I have no salary. I'm self-employed. I pay a host agency fees to access their services. I only get paid from bookings.

If you enjoy these blog postings, but prefer to do your own booking, please do me a favour and check out my booking website: https://transattravel.com/judy-hannon That way I get the commission instead of those corporate websites you're familiar with, and you get the assistance of an individual person if/when you need it.

Among my certifications, I have Master Agent status with AM resorts, expert status with the Hawai'i Tourist Board, and specialist status with both Disney and Universal. Trust me when I say I know how to have a good time, and I have access to insider advice on just about any destination on the planet (space coming soon). I also have multiple other certifications, including Transat's LuxeXpert designation, which means I know how to travel in style, and how to get you extras when you book your luxury travel with me.

Celebrity Edge 2021 - Part V - Wine Tastings

I brought Mickey to the Select tasting

One of the perks of my loyalty tier with Celebrity is a complementary wine tasting.  You get small samples of 2 reds and 2 whites. They are tasted in order from lightest to fullest, and a lot of information about tasting wines is also passed on.

A couple of reds and a couple of whites

Free wine tastings are nice, but... At dinner at Eden, I had a chat about wine with the sommelier, and she offered me a chance to do the Superstars in the Glass tasting. $300US after the $50 gratuity. Worth every penny. 😍 I didn't see this advertised, and it's a very small event. But, it's 5 full glasses of the kind of champagne I had previously only dreamed about, each one paired with the perfect nibble.

The tasting pairings

The red rose was just a nice extra

The bottles

The order of tasting

The Perrier-Jouet was accompanied by the oyster topped with roe.

My absolute favourite was the Cristal with the ceviche

Everything was spectacular, right down to the finale of the salmon with caviar, accompanied by the Veuve Clicquot. To be honest, you will always have me at caviar, and this was a particularly delicious example.  I would do this experience again in a heartbeat. And I discovered that I aspire especially to taste Cristal again.

Tuna carpaccio was a lovely choice with the Dom Perignon
