I was looking forward to each part of my Thailand trip, perhaps the elephants most of all, but my luxurious pool villa at Anantara Mai Khao Phuket was an incredible experience on its own. As something a little different, I did video walk-throughs for my villa. Here they are:
The toiletries on offer were sustainable where possible.
I guess someone knew I love elephants.
The grounds were lovely, and easy to navigate. And while I did love my private pool, I also enjoyed going to the pool/beach area, with its impeccable, friendly service, and refreshing drinks.
The food was excellent, with lots of options for breakfast, and Thai specialities for dinner at the main restaurant. Added bonus: the restaurant patio overlooked a fish pond, which also housed a lovely monitor lizard.
There was also a seafood restaurant close to the pool bar. The lobster bisque included a full half lobster. Lovely atmosphere, and great quality food.
